Everton Hills doors, made just up the road in Brendale
Everton Hills sits close to our factory. We're at 241 Leitchs Road, Brendale, a short drive away up South Pine Road through Eatons Hill and Albany Creek. Our install crews already pass through this pocket on regular North Brisbane and Moreton Bay runs, so a measure and quote here slots into the schedule quickly.

Why Everton Hills chooses custom aluminium glass doors
Between Bunyaville’s bushland and the Brisbane City boundary, Everton Hills is a hilly 3.3 square kilometre wedge in the City of Moreton Bay. It makes up the Hills District with Arana Hills and Ferny Hills, pressed against Everton Park and Mitchelton on the south-east side with conservation park behind it. Flat land is scarce. The first estates went in from 1965 south of South Pine Road, a northern estate followed around 1975, and the population jumped from 2,048 in 1971 to 4,707 in 1981 before it levelled off. Most of the housing stock here dates from that stretch, and most of those houses sit on a slope.
That combination is hard on doors. A house on a sloping block keeps moving in small ways for decades after it’s built. Frames that were square when the slab was poured aren’t square now. Sliding doors start dragging at one end of the track. Hinged doors catch the jamb at the top corner. You end up lifting and shoving a door you should just slide.
And in this suburb, that’s the owner’s problem to fix. 81.2% of dwellings are separate houses and 70.5% are owner-occupied. The big rear opening onto the deck gets used year round, so a door that drags gets noticed every day.
An off-the-shelf door assumes a square opening. After decades on a hillside, yours probably isn’t. So we measure the opening as it is today, then make the door to those measurements at our own 1,700 sqm factory in Brendale. Our installers hold Cert III in Glass and Glazing and Cert III in Carpentry, so when a jamb is out or the head has sagged, they correct the frame instead of packing a stock door into a crooked hole. We’ve been trading since 1972, which makes the business older than most of the houses in Everton Hills.

Common door problems we solve in Everton Hills
Doors that stick as the house settles
Most Everton Hills houses were built between 1965 and the early 1980s on sloping blocks, and decades of slow ground movement pull door openings out of square. A door that needs a shove won't seal or lock cleanly, and every forced close wears the track and hardware faster. Our installers hold Cert III in Carpentry as well as Glass and Glazing, so they can correct a dropped or twisted frame first, then fit a door made at Brendale to the opening's real measurements.
Corroded old frames and hardware
Plenty of doors around here are originals, and decades of Queensland weather leave locks, rollers and tracks pitted and seized. Corroded hardware makes a heavy glass door heavier, and a lock that won't throw properly leaves the door unsecured. We replace the full unit with a new aluminium-framed door. Aluminium frames are designed to resist rust and corrosion, and the slim profiles give you more glass and more light.
Bi-fold and servery openings for entertaining areas
Owners who've held these houses for years often want the back wall opened up to the deck instead of one narrow sliding panel. A wide opening only works if the doors are sized for the span; AS 2047 sets wind-load requirements for external glazed door openings. We manufacture stacking, bi-fold and pivot-hinge doors ourselves, and our carpentry-qualified installers check the existing frame and opening before anything gets built.
Worn rollers and sticking tracks on older sliding doors
A sliding door that's run on the same track since the 1970s carries decades of grit, and its rollers flatten and seize. Once rollers fail, the door grinds metal on metal and chews up the track it needs to run on. We handle glass door repair and replacement as part of regular runs through this corridor. Where the track is past saving, we make a full replacement door to measure at Brendale.

Our hinged entrance range
Architectural glass doors in Everton Hills
Some Everton Hills entries need more than a standard sliding unit. Our architectural range covers hinged aluminium entrance doors, entry doors and custom entry panels for homes and commercial properties. Panels come in single, double or multi-panel configurations with your choice of handles, locks, hinges and privacy options. We build with Breezeway and Vantage systems, and doors can integrate ComfortEdge, which is designed to reduce heat transfer and keep indoor temperatures steadier. That's worth considering on an exposed hillside entry that cops afternoon sun. Commercial jobs get commercial-grade hardware and hinges rated for high-traffic use. See the full range at /glass-doors-brisbane/architectural/ or ask us which entry panel suits your opening.
Why Everton Hills trusts Superior Glass
Superior Glass has been making and fitting glass doors since 1972, Australian family-owned, with director Nathan Fox still hands-on in daily operations. We're a manufacturer-installer, not a middleman: doors are made to measure at our 1,700 sqm factory and showroom at 241 Leitchs Road, Brendale, then fitted by our own crews. Those installers hold Cert III in Glass and Glazing and Cert III in Carpentry, the mix you want when a 1970s frame is no longer square. We're QBCC licensed and insured. The glass itself is governed by Australian Standards: AS 1288 requires Grade A safety glass in doors, and AS 2047 covers external glazed doors, including wind loading. Most residential door installs take 1 to 2 days. And because we supply and fit Prowler Proof and Crimsafe security screens too, a screen door can go on in the same job as your new glass door.

Aluminium Glass Doors in Everton Hills: your questions answered
Most residential installs take 1 to 2 days once the door is made. Before that, we measure your opening, you pick the configuration and finish, and the door gets built at our Brendale factory. Everton Hills is on our regular North Brisbane runs, so measures and installs here are easy to schedule. Larger commercial jobs are scheduled by size and scope.
Yes. Most Everton Hills houses went up between 1965 and the early 1980s on sloping ground, and openings shift over that many years. We measure the opening as it sits now and build the door to fit at our own factory. Our installers hold Cert III in Carpentry as well as Glass and Glazing, so they can correct a frame that's dropped or twisted before the new door goes in.
Yes. Aluminium doors can be customised by colour, finish, door style and glass panel selection. Configurations run from standard sliding and centre-opening doors to stacking, bi-fold, frameless and hinged. Bring a photo of the house or the opening and we'll talk through what suits it at the consultation stage.
Four steps: consultation and measurement, design and customisation, supply and installation, then aftercare backed by industry-standard guarantees. Because we manufacture at our own Brendale factory rather than buying off the shelf, the door is built to your opening's measurements, not the nearest stock size.
Yes. AS 1288, the Australian Standard for glass in buildings, requires Grade A safety glass, toughened or laminated, in doors and in glazed panels that could be mistaken for a doorway. In Queensland, paid glazing work also requires a QBCC glass, glazing and aluminium licence, a rule set by the regulator. Ask us what glass your door needs and we'll walk you through it.
Yes. We supply and install Prowler Proof and Crimsafe security screen doors ourselves, so the screen is specified and fitted alongside your new glass door instead of being retrofitted by a second contractor. Products sold as security screens are covered by the AS 5039 series of Australian Standards. One crew handles both.
